A FEW WORDS ABOUT THE PCHEI


The PCHEIis the representative body of Psychological Counsellors in Third level Colleges in Ireland. It provides support, and facilitates  ongoing training for counsellors in 3rd level colleges. It liaises with statutory bodies and other relevant agencies on student issues. It’s executive is elected at it’s yearly AGM. The membership includes counsellors from all of the Universities and Institutes of Technology in the country as well as other third level colleges.

History

Founded in 1994 by a group of University and college counsellors who were meeting informally for a number of years, the organisation now represents counselling services in all of the Universities and Institutes of Technology in Ireland as well as other third level institutes.
